Toyota announces the launch of a new electric light commercial vehicle with the upcoming PROACE CITY Electric

Toyota confirms that the electrification of PROACE CITY (commercial) and PROACE CITY Verso (bus) will be added to Toyota’s professional vehicle lineup with 50 kWh lithium-ion batteries and a maximum output of 136 DIN hp / 100kW. The range of models will include compact and long-body, Van and Verso variants To meet customer needs for corporate, fleet and private use, Toyota will add a new chapter to its zero-emission vehicle strategy in the fall of 2021, the first European delivery customer. Following the mid-size announcements of PROACE Van and Verso Electric, Toyota will add the PROACE CITY (electric vehicle) version of the BEV Toyota professional commercial vehicle series. This valuable mobility option will be provided with a 50kWh lithium-ion battery with a maximum output of 136 DIN hp, ensuring smooth operation in the low emission zone. All PROACE CITY Electric versions are equipped with a 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger as standard. If you need faster charging, you can choose an 11 kW three-phase charger. This series of products will provide compactness and long body length, and the first customer deliveries of Van-Van and Verso passenger Toyota PROACE CITY Electric will begin in autumn 2021, and more details will be announced next year.
